John W. Walker

As a visionary with a long history of building successful professional service firms and through his entrepreneurial spirit, John Walker launched Transition Plus Sustainability Solutions. For almost two decades John has led the Canadian operations of a major international outplacement firm. John has travelled extensively throughout North America coaching executives and middle managers on career management and career reorientation. John has led coaching teams with several technology clients in twelve States in the USA.

Many of John's efforts have been documented and serve as internal best practise policy today amongst many of these technology leaders. John was awarded The Golden Circle Award for his achievements (2005) he has exceptional insight into strategic partnerships executive placement and boardroom survival in an era of limited corporate loyalty.

John's determination and energy have provided Transition Plus Sustainability Solutions as a growing leader in sustainability coaching. His contacts with Canadian Associations and the expansion of these relationships have allowed many corporations, municipalities etc. to learnthe true meaning ofsustainability and how to start their journey.

John was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Toronto chapter of the Human Resource Professionals Association of Ontario (HRPAO).

Anthony M. Watanabe, Ph.D.

Through a series of business ventures, Dr. Watanabe has been helping leading organizations successfully adopt sustainability thinking.Every day, he encounters leaders who are hungry to embrace sustainability, but struggle to make it relevant to their organizations. In response, Anthony co-founded Transition Plus, a boutique firm that uses a unique coaching method to help organizations find the right sustainability journey for their business.

Transition Plus is a sister company of the Innovolve Group, a consultancy founded in 2002 that has grown into a hub of ideas, people and innovation designed to both move the market and market the movement of sustainability.

On a daily basis, Anthony's obsession is mobilizing a team of talented individuals to help clients achieve excellence. Over the longer term, his roadmap for global impact is a cocktail of writing and speaking. And his lifelong infatuation is without a doubt playing Papa en français to Émile et Filou.

Dr. Watanabe is also an accomplished speaker having delivered presentations on sustainability to business, government and civil society organizations in Canada, the United States and Europe.

Garrick Ng, MBA

Senior Partner, Transition Plus Sustainability Solutions

Garrick's passion for business and sustainability has inspired his involvement in a diverse range of commercial and personal initiatives aimed at bringing sustainability to the masses. In addition to serving as Senior Partner at Transition Plus, Garrick is VP of Sustainability for The Innovolve Group. Other initiatives that Garrick has spearheaded include authoring a corporate citizenship report for the world's largest spirits company, developing Canada's foremost corporate leadership forum on CSR in collaboration with Corporate Knights Magazine, and publishing a study on 'design for sustainability' in Toronto's furniture cluster. Garrick credits his industry experience in communications, consulting and brand management for the business-centric approach he takes to realizing opportunities through the triple bottom line agenda. Garrick also advances this agenda as an active participant in community leadership organizations, and is in constant pursuit of new thinking around commercializing sustainability. His latest project involves leveraging new age online collaboration vehicles to unite socially and ecologically aware change agents in propelling sustainable living alternatives into the mainstream. Garrick holds an MBA in Business & Sustainability and a Graduate Diploma in Business & the Environment from the Schulich School of Business, along with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia. Bernhard Moehring, MBA

Sustainability Coach, Transition Plus Sustainability Solutions

Bernhard is a sustainable innovator and lateral thinker. His playful creativity balanced with exacting strategic thinking is a winning combination to incubate responsible and successful business models. Bernhard's polished communication skills and passion for problem solving make him a key resource in every project. He is a seasoned marketing consultant and project manager with four years of work experience in the dynamic and complex online world. Born and raised in Germany, he brings to every engagement the cultural perspective of the world's leading nation in sustainability. Bernhard holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business with specializations in Business & Sustainability and Strategic Management. Schulich is Canada's top ranked business school for Business and Social Responsibility. In addition to his studies he excelled in extra-curricular case competitions and represented Schulich at the 2007 John Molson International Case Competition in Concordia. Bernhard is trilingual speaking German, Italian, and English. When Bernhard isn't chasing the latest sustainable solutions, you can find him in his kitchen creating authentic Italian gourmet dishes.

Alison Chafe, MBA

Sustainability Coach, Transition Plus Sustainability Solutions

Alison is an experienced business professional with a passion for sustainable business. She possesses over eight years experience working for corporations in the retail, banking, insurance, telecommunications, and entertainment industries. Her latest venture in the retail sector has allowed her to apply her passion for sustainable business through developing a proposal for integrating sustainability principles with corporate strategy. This proposal included recommendations for practical and actionable environment-focused initiatives to enhance product innovation, improve brand equity and reputation, and reduce risks and costs. Alison has a host of volunteer experience, ranging from working as a kindergarten teacher's assistant in Guatemala, to fundraising and contributing to Canada's Guide to Pollution Prevention for the Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy. She holds an MBA with a specialization in Business and Sustainability from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce in Management Information Systems from the University of Ottawa. When not behind a keyboard, she can be found travelling to interesting places – near and far – or surprising opponents at the ping pong table or tobaggan hills.

Jeremy Day, BBA

Analyst, Transition Plus Sustainability Solutions

Jeremy is a former professional athlete dedicated to helping clients surface social, environmental and economic opportunities through sustainability. Jeremy graduated with an Honours degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Brock University. He was recognized by the Dean of Business as the graduating student who exhibited the best combination of academic and entrepreneurial performance, and is also winner of the 2007 Sonja Bata Award for Entrepreneurship. His extreme passion for mobilizing people around sustainability is fueled by a work ethic developed through a career as a professional hockey goaltender. Highlights from Jeremy's hockey career include two NHL appearances for the Atlanta Thrashers, recognition as Brock Hockey's Rookie of the Year, and the OUA's 2002/2003 Rookie Goalie of the Year award. Since the age of 13, he has been coaching goaltenders ranging from youth to NHL caliber athletes. Jeremy has been active in spearheading charity hockey events in the Durham and Niagara regions to support fund-raising for Epilepsy. When not helping clients craft sustainable futures, Jeremy can be spotted on his roller blades, on the putting green, at the Dojo or trolling the lakes of Northern Ontario for his next 40 inche Muskie.
